RECENT UPDATES

As at the end of November 2018 the HSE have unsurprisingly re awarded Gas Safe to Capita for a 5 year period after a claimed “competitive” tender process. Clearly Capita had a huge advantage having gone through the original 10 year contract period awarded to them without the same formal competition. The disparity between needing competition for a 5 year renewal but none for an initial 10 years has not been explained. Just like the disparity between HSE Reporting and anything resembling a legal ventilation system. There is potential press interest in the specific issue of ventilation regulation enforcement as a part of the general concern about the regulatory “breakdown” behind the Grenfell tragedy. As well as circulating website details by email and twitter I continue to try and get Industry organisations and the press to take up this issue. To date at 26.11.18 nobody has offered any answers to the 3 simple points for which £5,000 is offered. Those accused of criminal perversion of justice including Podger and McGrellis (formerly of HSE) plus Directors of the major consultancy Troup, Bywater and Anders do not protest at accusations of serious criminality. Clearly if innocent one would expect some form of protestation, but such could of course raise press interest so far successfully avoided.
